Derived from Quechua, the traditional language of the Incas, the word chakay, means to cross or to bridge, between this world and the otherworlds. Our chakana represents the 3-stepped symmetric cross, with a beveled hole in the center.
Machu Picchu stone is a type of serpentineĀ found inĀ the area around Machu Picchu.Ā Cross comes in three sizes (1.2", 1.3", and 1.4"-1.5") and is strung on a 24 inch black cord. Does not always include a silver bead. Uniquely hand carved in Peru.
